Wild Neighbor focuses on practical, non-lethal solutions that reduce conflicts by identifying and addressing possible bear “attractants”, installing bear-resistant deterrents, and offering consulting/educational opportunities. Wild Neighbor helps people and bears share space safely! We focuses on smaller-scale deterrent systems that do not require building permits or any major construction.
Description of Services
Bear-Resistant Deterrent Installations
If bears are getting a little too comfortable near windows and doors, crawl space openings, around chicken coops and fruit trees, etc. - standard “DIY” deterrents may not be enough. Wild Neighbor’s custom-installed, professional-grade deterrents deliver a harmless, startling zap that quickly teach curious bears your property is off-limits!

Crawl Space Inspection and/or Eviction
Strange bumps, heavy scratching, or heavy breathing beneath your floorboards isn’t a mystery you want to sleep on. If a black bear has scouted your subfloor or raised deck as prime real estate, Wild Neighbor conducts prompt, professional crawl space inspections and eviction attempts. Using humane visual, auditory, and physical deterrent stimuli, we encourage unwanted denners to pack up and move out! Unwelcome mats, electric wire setups, and/or crawl space covers are available and recommended immediately post-eviction (see “Bear-Resistant Deterrent Installations” information above)
Note: If dependent cubs younger than 5–6 months are discovered, evictions are temporarily paused to protect the family unit.
